 Completed in 2002, the agora is a modern conference centre operated by Student Support Services which is aimed at fulfilling the demand for reasonably priced venues for congresses, conferences and seminars from Münster’s tertiary institutions and from small to medium-sized businesses in the region. The agora is the venue for conferences at the Aasee with the capacity to cater for function sizes ranging from 16 to more than 250 participants.  The ‘agora: Conference Centre on the Aasee’ has a variety of rooms available for conferences and symposiums, training, courses, seminars, and receptions such as company parties and corporate events. We aim to be the solution for small to medium-siezed businesses, public institutions or providers of further education and training who are looking for a venue for their event. Appealing architecture with clean lines and shapes, light colours and the use of exclusive materials create a very pleasant ambience. The agora: Conference Centre on the Aasee combines the latest technology, individual consultations and very friendly customer service to offer the perfect venue for every occasion. Six individual areas demonstrate the versatility of the agora: Room configurations.
The centerpiece of the diverse facilties on on offer is the conference and seminar building, the 'Gartenhaus' at 11b Bismarckallee, fully accessible for the disabled, and situated close to the city centre right near the Aasee. Visitors are presented with a light-filled multi-functional foyer on the upper level with two seminar rooms equipped with the latest technology, as well as conference facilities for 16 to 85 participants. 
Another feature of the agora is the hall with adjoining terrace which can accommodate 80 guests. For large functions there is the attractive auditorium which seats more than 250 guests.  And it doesn’t end there. In September 2003 we added a new facility we named ‘agora:Hotel am Aasee' - the hotel on the Aasee’, at no. 5 Bismarckallee. And then in 2008 we added ‘agora: Seehotel' - the lake hotel on the Aasee at no. 47 Bismarckallee, which makes a total of two further facilities. The ‘agora: hotels on the Aasee’ are superior 3-star hotels, so close to the city centre and with direct proximity to the historic “old town” of Münster Almost all of the 49 rooms and studio apartments have a panoramic view of Münster’s lake, the Aasee, and offer a warm and inviting atmosphere, making each stay a pleasant experience.
The individual accommodation solution has been made the focus of this new concept, rather than the more usual superficial focus on a full-scale hotel standard. Diversely structured living spaces, natural materials and individually decorated rooms create an atmosphere at agora: the hotel on the Aasee to be remembered.
